Laser Hair Removal Boca Raton - Your Questions Answered

By Elizabeth Powell

Okay, you guys are going to think I'm weird when I admit this. When I think "laser, " the first thing that enters my mind is "laser gun." Which would then usually lead up to "laser gunfight, " which would then eventually become "epic interstellar battle set in the Thirtieth Century." I know that most people's thought-trains don't travel in those -I'll admit- somewhat off-the-beaten-track directions, but you'll have to admit, a thirtieth-century interstellar laser war sounds pretty cool. These days though, lasers are used for some pretty mundane things. Like permanent Laser Hair Removal Boca Raton.

Heat Follicle Expulsion versus Electrolysis- Electrolysis and heat treatments are the only two permanent options for follicle expulsion. Heat follicle treatments offer some benefits over electrolysis, however. Physicians supervise many heat procedures, whereas electrolysis is often performed in a spa setting.

Heat follicle treatments are less painful than electrolysis and target a much larger area as electrolysis works by inserting a needle into each follicle. Still, results will vary by the person so it is important to know that neither procedure can guarantee the outcome.

Permanent heat follicle expulsion treatment won't take with some people, but on those who do, you can be pretty sure that the follicle in that area won't grow back. That's why they call it PERMANENT heat follicle expulsion. This form of follicle expulsion is reliable, although it's usually considered to be less reliable than electrolysis, which uses a slight electric jolt to destroy the follicle shaft, rather than an intense beam of heat light.

Skin color is another factor in removing follicle using a heat. Fair-skinned people are favored compared to tanned complexion. So it is advised for people who intend to undergo heat procedure to avoid tanning. However, if you have tanned already, you can choose to postpone the consultation date and be back when you are ready.

Is it permanent? Heat follicle expulsion is considered permanent although has been found to not work for everyone depending on their follicle and skin type. Treatment may remove most of the follicle, but you may need to follow up with electrolysis for any fine follicles that a heat can not remove.

The stronger the contrast between light skin and dark follicle, the better the possible permanent heat follicle expulsion results will usually be, and the less likely it would be for a person to suffer from side-effects.

What to expect- Before treatment the area should be shaved 1 to 3 days before, so the heat can target the follicle follicle, with no other follicle expulsion method that involves pulling it out by the roots allowed 4 to 6 weeks before. After treatment aloe vera should be applied to the skin and the skin should be exfoliated as you will experience follicle coming up to the surface, which looks like it is growing back but is just coming up to the surface to shed. Remove this in the shower by scrubbing the area gently. You will most likely need 6 to 8 treatments about 6 to 10 weeks apart.
